EIT Manufacturing’s mission is to bring European manufacturing actors together in innovation ecosystems that add unique value to European products, processes and services and inspire the creation of globally competitive and sustainable manufacturing.
EIT Manufacturing will establish an innovation community and build a network of ecosystems where people will acquire skills and encounter opportunities; and where innovators are able to attract investors and acquire venture capital.
Countries eligible to take part in the EIT RIS are:
EU Member States: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain.
In addition, the following third countries: Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine will be EIT RIS eligible countries, if/when they become associated to Horizon Europe. Organisations from these third countries may participate in proposals under the provision that funding for them will be dependent on the agreements reached under Horizon Europe.
EIT Innovation Communities engage local organisations to serve as EIT Hubs in EIT RIS countries and regions. Local organisations are selected through an open competitive selection process, and are designated to function as an EIT Hub for a specific Innovation Community. The primary role of the EIT Hub is to ensure the visibility of the EIT Community and raise awareness of activities and cooperation opportunities for local players representing education, business and research areas. EIT Hubs also liaise with the relevant national, regional and local authorities and facilitate the sharing of EIT Innovation Community expertise with them. EIT manufacturing has established 13 Hubs.
